Kona Mindful Walks
A gathering for presence, movement, and connection in nature
At a Glance
Let's move our bodies, connect with other people, and mindfully enjoy the pleasure of calling this 'aina home.
Encouraged Silence for a Portion of the Trail
When Crystal hosts a walk, short sections of the trail may be designated as silent or whisper-only zones so that conversations have an opportunity to breathe. The aim here is for mindfulness and intentional walking.
When:
Quarterly (organized via WhatsApp)
Where:
West Hawai'i trails and surrounding areas
Who:
Open community
Flow:
We meet and walk together. Optional silent/whisper segments. We move at a steady, mindful pace together.
More Details
We walk together to slow down, listen, and share space
What to Expect:
Crystal will organize quarterly, morning weekend walks.
Others are encouraged to coordinate more walks at their heart's desire.
We'll walk at established nature trails, primarily on the West side of the island, but not limited to the area. Here are just a few options:
Maka'ula O'oma Trail
Honokohau Beach to Kaloko Fishpond
Pu'u Wa'awa'a
For super easy and short walks- Walua Trail
Embodying Pono and Kuleana:
We respect the land and our neighbors.
We leave no trace.
We aim to meet each other on time.
We respect our own limits.
We're not tour guides...just people walking together.
The Kona Mindful Walks WhatsApp group is used for:
Monthly or quarterly confirmations
Meeting locations
Weather, or other last-minute updates
Participation in the group is simply for logistics and ease
